eLicense FAQ & Support

If you're having any questions regarding eLicense, Viatech's FAQ site might be helpful:

From tgerbasi:

Guys,
Regarding the License Control issue, I had the same problem last week with all OOTP / .400 products because I de-selected the control to make startup faster.

Anyway, in XP go to start, run, and type in: msconfig

Under the services tab, see if LicCtrl Service is checked. If it's not, check it. That should get the game running if that's the problem.

Before you change computers, you can un-license from the control panel and re-register after the new computer is set up. It's quite easy and painless.

The file on the CD is identical with the downloadable setup file.

But as Kevin told you, it's easy to unlicense on the old computer and to load the license to the new computer.
And if there are any problems, we and the eLicense support can and will help!

No, you have to purchase the game only once. Then you're having a record on the eLicense server and in our customers database, and you'll get a license for the purchased game whenever you need it.

I had the ugly misfortune of a hard drive crash day before yesterday. No Operating System Error. The techs are going to charge me a fortune to "try" and recover the data.

Long story short, I've given up hope on the drive and ordered a new one this afternoon - should be here by week's end. But....

My favorite game has no backup - Title Bout. Never mind that my universe is completely wiped out. I'm wondering how I will get the game reloaded on the new drive - all the info (license, etc.) I had in email archives is just as inaccessible as the game.

I know I can re-download when the drive arrives, but how do I get my license # to play the game?

Thank you.

What you need to do is the following, bigMatt.
  • Email support@elicense.com first with the following:
  • Name used to order game.
  • Name of game purchased.
  • Last four digits only of credit card used to order game. (this is used by eLicense to verify purchaser.)
  • Email address used to order game.
  • Let them know you need the license reset so you can relicense the game AFTER you install the game again.

I hope that helps. Good Luck. EMail me at tc@ootpdevelopments.com for any help you might need.

TC, thanks so much for your quick response. I got the new hard drive today and just sent my relicense request. My fingers are crossed.

I am relicensed and back in the saddle. Now comes the fun of reacquiring all of those photos and tbdx files!

Thanks again,

Matt
