Initialization failure
Earlier this evening I purchased TBCB, based on my happy experience with Title Fight 2001.
When I try to launch the game, however, the launch aborts and the following dialogue box comes up: CreateSurface: Backbuffer OUT OF VIDEO MEMORY When I hit OK on this box, the following comes up: InitApp Error InitDirectDraw And when I hit OK on this box, the following comes up: Could not initialize application! I am running Windows 98 on a Sony Vaio with a 1024 x 768 display in 16-bit mode. My machine meets all the other system requirements. DirectX 9 is installed. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like another D3D issue. TB defaults its graphics o/p to D3D hardware. Try editing the config.ini file in the TB directory. Open it up by double clicking, find the line with D3D in it (near the beginning of the file) & change it from YES to NO. Save it. Rerun the game.

Thanks, George. That was indeed the problem.
Out of the Park Baseball includes a "Game Config" module, which toggles 3-D on and off. The TBCB Config file is larger and less self-evident, but not any harder to use, I guess. Thanks, again. I owe you one.
