I don't think this should happen
I am simming a fight. Play by play and all.
If I minimize the game, the fight stops until I maximize it once more. If I just pop another window over the game while it is maximized, the bout goes on. I don't think minimizing should mean pausing, should it? |

Yes, that was intended to be that way. If you want to let it continue the fight or the schedule, just let the window open.
