Problems

To begin with I have a 20 inch monitor and I run with my video set to 800x600 pixels so that the view takes up my entire screen. Your game demands that I change this to 1024x768. At this setting my entire screen is not utilized and things look weird. No other game that I have run cares about the pixels, why is this game different? Am I going to have to keep changing my settings just to play this game? Also I read in the manual that in order to download pictures and assign them to fighters I have to name them the same name as the fighter in the database, well how do I view the data to see how the name is stored. Why was assigning the picture to a fighter made so much more complicated?

Having only play a bit, I like the game over all and I am quite impressed. I have only boxed a few exhibition bouts. I have not tried any cards or schedules yet, but from what I have seen so far, this game is fantastic except for the problems I described above.

Thanks yabanci. When I change my pixels to the recommended value, my icons become very small and I do not utilize my entire screen. Only at 800x600 do I get my entire screen used. I probably am missing something but that is how it is for now. Thanks for the tip with the pictures.

Before all you had to do was click on the fighter and browse your hard drive and click on the file name and the picture was assigned to that fighter. That was much easier. I followed your intstructions to the letter and it still is not working

Much more gamers use face packs which they download somewhere, than single images which they find themselfs and add them to their database. Now imagine to assign only 100 images to your database one by one manually.... With our solution, you just unzip the face pack to the /images/fighters/ folder, and that's it.
But of course you're right, the other way has been more intuitive. And so I've put it on the wish list - we will add it as an additional way, and it will copy the selected picture into the right place, and rename it.

You need to change the settings for Width and Height at your monitor. There should be some buttons at your monitor, probably they open a menu on the screen. More info in the monitor's manual.

I placed Muhammad Ali's image in the images/fighters subdirectory. I then changed the name of the file to ali_muhammad_cl. I went into the game and pulled up Ali's record, no picture. I tried the same thing with Mike Tyson, tyson_mike_cl, still no picture.

The first thing I did when I changed the pixel settings was go into the menu for my monitor and attempt to adjust the horizontal and virtical size. Still my background on my desk top does not fill the screen, the icons do, but the wall paper is now bordered in blue. I will keep playing with that as I am sure there are things that I have yet to discover. But the pictures definately do not work.

All this time - really feel embarrassed - I was not capitalizing the first letter in each name. I just did it and poof, a picture. This oh DUH moment was brought to you by Chaleyit

In this first version, the file name is case sensitive! We've already fixed this for the patch, but this is the reason why it doesn't work for you.

Indeed, I was looking at everyone's example then it finally dawned on me. So now it works. Thank you Andrea and everyone for all your help. BTW I am trying my computer at the suggested Pixel settings. I figured out how to stretch my wall paper. Looks pretty good.
