Help greatly appreciated

Greetings. I just downloaded the game and am eager to start setting up my new divisions. I had TB2001 and was able to create my own sub groups for heavyweights, lightweights , etc. I have created these sub groups here in the new game but am unable to transfer the fighter into them. When I copy a selected fighter from it's original default grouping it does not allow me to switch over to my subgroup before saveing the copy. So what happens is I get a repeat of the same fighter in the original group. Hope this makes sense to anyone out there who may be able to help me.

I am dieing to get my world going .

Peace!

You don't need to switch anything before saving the copy - as soon as you hit copy, the fighter record on the right side of the screen is your copy, not the original. Just change the group to whatever you want it to be, hit save, and then you can check your groups to verify that there's both the original version in whatever group he started in, as well as a new copy in the group you created.

I have had no problem.

I select the fighter I want in my new group. I then choose the 'copy' option and click that. The game says "copied record, edit, save, or cancel".

I then use the drop down box for group and select the group I want. I then save.

Voila! I have the fighter in my database twice. Once in the original group, and once in the new group.

Is this what you are doing?

Thanks for the responses guys. That is exactly what I am doing in fact. The problem is that once I copy the fighter, I am unable to change the group from the drop down, it is all frozen until i hit the save button, which just throws a second version of the same boxer in the category.

For instance: I already have my subgroup heavyweights. I then go to active heavyweights, select Chris Byrd and hit copy. Then When I try to pick my heavyweight group I an unable to access it. In fact I am unable to pick any other groups other than the original heavyweight main group.

I don't understand. I have just tried it again and I have no problem.

All I can think of is that you are doing something funky that you are not aware of doing. I know this sounds stupid, but it has been my experience that if something works for others and doesn't work for one person, then the one person is doing something they don't realize they are doing.

If you want to post exactly what you are doing, with pictures even, step by step I will then recreate exactly what you are doing and see if I get the same result.

Other than that, I have no idea. Sorry.

Thanks, I agree with your experiences. I just can't imagine what I could be doing wrong honestly. i had tb2001 and did this on the regular. It is pretty straight forward, and should be a very easy function, I'm dumbfounded.

The crux of the problem is that when i select the copy function, the rest of my screen freezes effectively until I choose the save option. Thus eliminateing the opportunity to move said fighter into any other group.
'
The sub groups I created DO show in the dropdown, I just am unable to access them once I select the copy function.

It certainly is in the realm that I am doing something wrong, but it feels like a bug.

Thanks again for your help though.

Peace!

I am pretty convinced this is a bug. I have looked at it from every angle and it just is glitched. Do any of the actual developers review this board because as the game stands it is pretty much useless to me.

Just to revist this as I haven't heard of any possible solutions. This is precisely what I am doing. When i get to the part where I choose the copy option and the game responds with "copied record, edit, save, or cancel", I am then unable to access the drop down menus. I am all but certain I am doing it right, it is really very straight forward in it's application. I am starting to get a bit frustrated though as I was hopeing this would be my weekends activity and I am unable to create my new divsions. The other forums specifies to post issues here, but it doesn;t seem like anyone in the development team has visited in days.

LOL, well that last post did it, my feeble mind clicked on to something and voila it's fixed. Rofl, please disregard all previous posts .

On to the fights!

Just in case anyone else makes the same mistake. What I was doing was attempting to change thje drop down menu on the upper left hand side of the svcreen. I didn't realize it was done on the right hand side within the fighter screen.

Glad you got it working - this being part of the technical side of things Andreas normally handles it and if you were still having problems I would have referred this to him. Enjoy the game!
