Fatal Error!

I was running a tournament, 16 fighters, single elimination, 6 round fights. I have done this several times without a problem.

However, this time during the tournament (Simulate All Bouts) I got this message:
FATAL ERROR: Unknown Token (Active)!

I click on OK, and nothing happens. The game is locked. Woe is me!

I go into Windows Task Manager and end the game thru there.

I go back into the game and set up the tournament again. Same problem. FATAL ERROR!

More woe to me.

I go back in and try again. This time I simulate 1 at a time. Same FATAL ERROR. I see what the problem is.

I had changed the first name of Evander Holyfield from Evander to Evander (Active) so it would be easier for me to see the Holyfield who I was working with. The name (Active) caused the problem. When I took the brackets out and changed his first name to Evander active, then all was fine.

Not nice. There will not be brackets in my tournaments anymore.

And by the way, can this be fixed?
