Fight Card bouts not in fighters' histories
Several fight-card bouts are not showing up in my fighters' histories, although the results are reflected in their records and stats.
None of the fighters involved have had their stats reset nor have any of them been deleted. Between staging the fight-card bouts and checking the fighters' histories, though, I did reset some other fighters' stats and did delete some other fighters. The fight-card bouts remain in the Bouts folder. Is there any way that I can get the histories to list these fights? Rather important--since a couple of the fights were title bouts.

Sorry, if the histories are not listed, they are deleted, and you cannot get them back.
I will check out why they are lost.

Thanks, Andreas.
But now the problem is worse. Last night I arranged a fight card including a heavyweight championship bout. Neither deleted any records nor reset any. This morning I arranged several other fight cards. And now, although this morning's results show up in the fighters' histories, last night's bouts do not. Again, the stats have been updated--my heavyweight champ shows the correct number of championship bouts in his totals--but the result is not shown on the history screen. Has perhaps my history.dat file simply grown too large? Is it like a sponge? That is, before anything new can go in, something has to be squeezed out.

Maybe the game switched to, or created a new database. I've had it happen. The solution is to get rid of the extras and be sure you're in the same database you always use.

No, I am afraid the problem is that I opened the history.dat file with a text editor. Since then it hasn't saved anything. I had to reset the database and start over.
Which, if nothing else, points up the need for some capacity to edit fighters' records.

David, you can edit fighter records. Click on the red arrow next to the caption Records: on the Stats screen.

Andreas,
Many thanks. I had overlooked this feature entirely. It would be nice, in future versions or patches, to include the capacity to edit fighters' histories too--you know, to change dates or venues or even the outcomes. Just a suggestion.

Is there any consideration being given to the idea of making all of the stat fields open to editing? I believe as of now one can only edit some of the fields. Thanks. |
