Championship Problem
Here is an example of what I am trying to say:
A LHW fights a HW for the heavyweight championship. The LHW wins. He is not the HW champion. He is the LHW champion even though he was only fighting for the HW championship. The HW champion who just lost this championship fight is still listed as champion. A LHW fights a HW for the heavyweight championship. The LHW is the LHW champion and he loses the heavyweight championship bout. He is not longer the LHW champion. I believe both these things to be incorrect. In scenario one the LHW should be the HW champion. In scenario two, he should not lose his LHW championship. Help. Thanks. |

Hard to disagree with that.
I don't think I'll really be getting back into my own AU until I can redesignate Sam Langford as reigning heavyweight champ. Cap

This was the same in TF2001. In the future we'll do it more elegant with another table - Champions - which BTW will also allow to track the complete title history.
