Help, problem with 1.2 patch

Since I have down loaded the 1.2exe patch I can not get the game to work. The Title Bout screen will come up, but no matter what I click on the computer freezes up and I get the "TB1.exe has encountered a problem and must shutdown" speel.

I love the game, but can not use it. Can anyone help. Oh yeah, I may be the most computer illiterate person in the world.

Please try again: be sure to install the patch into the TB program folder. If this doesn't work: try the full setup from our download page. It will also not overwrite your databases.

Another idea might be to edit the config.ini file which is in your TB program folder. Change the line which starts with Database= into this:

Database=mynewtestdb

TB will then create a new database at startup named mynewtestdb. You can switch back to your old database in the Game Options screen later.

I had the same problem LSU. Renaming my database fixed it,thanks Andreas.

Without blowing sunshine up anyone's rear-end, I would just like to say that even though I own TB-2001 and think it is excellent, the main reason I came back to purchase TBCB was because of the people associated with this game. People like Andreas and the Trunzos, men of their word.

Even more so the reason I purchased TBCB is because of the people like Cube, Wildhawke, Vistaman, Triple B and all the rest of you who participate in these forums. Knowledgible boxing fans who go out of their way to help each other and by doing so make TBCB a great game.

I hoist a pint to all of you.

Whats the deal! I download the patch and it installed on my game but when I hit the icon it asked if I wanted to purchase the game..license..etc. The same stuff when I orig bought the game online. What is going on? Where do I get my license/order id..etc. Do I have to pay for this patch???

Explain..what do I need to do. Plus it made two extra icons on my desktop.

Now I realize what I did. I went to your darn download site and hit the wrong button. I should have scrolled down to the bottom of the page and look at 1.2..bundle exe..the smaller one. No wonder the orig was bigger.

Now what..I already bought the orig game.. and I have download ever patch including this one to the game. You can check your files. I dont want to purchase this game again, even if I did screw up!!

Please help. Thanks.

Just download the correct version, and install it, then it will work. If you purchased the bundle, you'll need the bundle.

Ummm,...No....no,....I must rightfully claim my Title. "I" am the most computer illiterate person in the world!

It's a great game for sure. I started with the board game and then some eariler computer versions. Playing those early versions I would dream of a day when "just maybe" a boxing game would have the features this one does, (plus more to be added.) but did not think it would happen in lifetime.

At the young age of 57 look forward to many enjoyable hours of boxings "what if's" to enjoy. Have learned more about boxing in my short time here than I thought I ever would, or would want to.
Enjoy the game,....and importantly,...spread the word!
