Anouncer GUID not found

I suddenly have a problem when I try to start a fight I get a message,"Error:Anouncer GUID not found". It will not let me save an anouncer and it won't let me fight without an anouncer. It was working fine my last fight yesterday and now today this problem. I am dead in the water!
Help please.

Have you tried backing up your database and reinstalling? I've some weird **** like this turning up. Never the announcer though. Always cornermen.

Guys if these are imported fighters then all it means is that the announcer or cornerman assigned to a particular fighters can not be found in the current database. Did you delete any records or import fighters??

Bonedwarf, when you get this message check out the fighter you just selected, change their cornerman to the default cornerman and the problem should go away.

Bogie, run a fight with an announcer that is in your database and you should not get the message again.

It will let me select an anouncer, but will not let me save him. I get the same
error with all fighters. No I didn't add or delete any fighters. I was playing the
game with no problems and quit for the night and when I tried to start another fight the next evening I got the error. Have no idea why.

Do you mean in the announcer screen or the Set Up Bout screen??

Both places will not save the anouncer.

In the Set Up a Fight screen have you tried setting announcer to random? Are you able to run a fight with this setting (just do a quick 3 rounder). After the fight is run and competed do you still get the message when re-entering the Fight set up screen?

Sorry if this seems to be ill aimed, but I'm not sure what is wrong yet

OK...I am now more confused than ever. I again tried to load an anouncer and
it appeared not to let me then all of a sudden a name popped into the anounces box, I did not recognize the name (I was trying to use Lennon Jr.). It now let me do the fight. Now when I go back into start a fight it lets me and it has Jimmy Lennon Jr. as the anouncer, and no error when I enter the start a fight area. In the Anouncer area it will still not let me choose and anouncer. And by the way the anouncer's name that popped in, I can not find that name as one of the anouncers to choose from. Very weird!
Thanks for all your help, I think something is still very wroung but at least I can now play the game.
