OOTP comes delivered with the Major League Opening Day rosters, including minor league rosters to the best of our knowledge as of the date the game is released. Generally, we release a new version of OOTP in the spring each year, with that season's Opening Day rosters.

We do not offer new season rosters for previous versions of the game, nor do we update Major League rosters throughout the season. For example, if we release a patch in June, it generally won't include Major League rosters updated through June. However, enterprising members of the OOTP community often build their own, updated roster sets and make them available via our message boards.

OOTP Developments does not own a Major League license, and therefore do not provide real team logos or player photos. However, members of the OOTP community often build custom photo or logo sets and make them available via our message boards or through the in-game Add-ons Central.

OOTP is not designed to be a season replication tool. OOTP provides incredibly realistic simulation results, but ultimately, you cannot expect a simulated season in OOTP to match precisely what happened in the real world. That said, especially over long periods of time or multiple simulations, you can expect OOTP versions of players to perform in a strikingly similar fashion to their real-world counterparts. OOTP also offers a number of system settings you can tweak to make your league behave closer to how you wish.

OOTP also comes delivered with a complete historical MLB database, so that you can also choose to play with Major Leagues from seasons dating back to the last 1800s. Historical seasons do not include minor leagues.

Unlike some other baseball simulation products, OOTP does not charge separately for different MLB seasons. All of the above is immediately available with your purchase of OOTP.
