If you are running Windows Vista, and OOTP fails to launch when you first double-click the icon, it's probably because OOTP needs to be run as an Administrator. Try the following:

  1. Right-click on the OOTP 9 icon, and select "Run as Administrator"
  2. Double-click the OOTP 9 icon to launch the game.
