How do I uninstall the license for my OOTP Developments game? PDF Print E-mail

Normally, once the license for your OOTP Developments game is installed, you shouldn't ever need to uninstall it. However, in some cases it may become necessary, most frequently when you are running the game on two computers already, and wish to remove the game from one computer and install it on a third.

Note: Uninstalling your license does not remove your right to use the game! It just means that you will have one license free to install on another computer!

To uninstall your license, use the following instructions:

Uninstalling Your PC License

Use the following steps to uninstall your PC license:

  1. Go to Start | Control Panel.
  2. Double-click the Control Panel object called eLicense Control
  3. Open the folder called Out of the Park Developments GmBH & Co. KG.
  4. Right-click on the OOTP Developments game you wish to unlicense, and select Unlicense.
  5. An unlicense screen will appear. Click on the Unlicense button to uninstall your license.

There are other alternate ways of unlicensing our PC games:

  • OOTP 10 has an Unlicense OOTP icon, located in Start | All Programs | Out of the Park Developments | Out of the Park Baseball 10 | Tools | Unlicense OOTP 10. Simply click this to unlicense the game.
  • If you are running on Windows XP or earlier, you can right-click on the executable for the game (such as "OOTP10.exe"), then select "eLicense Control" and then "Unlicense." To do this, you must be able to locate the program file for the game you wish to unlicense. The most common place to find this is in C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\.
  • You can actually create your own unlicense shortcut, if you're a little tech-savvy. Go to the directory where you installed the game. The default location for you was probably "C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10". In that folder, right-click on the executable file (such as OOTP10.exe) and select "Properties." Add the text " -unlicense" (without those extra quotation marks) to the end of the target field so that it reads something like this:

    "C:\Program Files\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\ootp10.exe" -unlicense

Now double-click on that shortcut. To use it again, rename it something like "Unlicense OOTP10" and save it somewhere.
  • Remember that if you are ever having license problems with our PC games, you can contact our licensing companies.

Uninstalling Your Linux/Mac License (OOTP 10)

Use the following steps to uninstall your Linux license:

  1. Launch the game.
  2. On the Main Page, click on the Game Preferences button.
  3. Click on the Unlicense Game button.

Uninstalling Your Mac License (OOTP 9 and before)

Use the following steps to uninstall your Mac license:

  1. Launch the game.
  2. On the Main Page, click on the Game Preferences button.
  3. Click on the Unlicense Game button.
