Your purchase of a license for an OOTP Developments game is always valid for installation on two computers of the same operating system simultaneously, even if your original PC breaks or you lose your license e-mail. (Exception: In the case of OOTP 10, a Mac or Linux purchase can be installed on either Mac or Linux OS.)

Occasionally people will ask us what to do when they get a new computer and want to re-install one of our games on that machine. If at all possible, unlicense the game from your old computer before getting rid of it! This will make your life much easier, and you will be able to seamlessly install and license the game on your new computer. Note that you need to unlicense, not uninstall! Uninstalling removes the game, but not the license. Unlicensing removes the license, but not the game.

If you are unable to unlicense the game on your old computer, it is possible you could receive an error when you try to license the game on your new machine, stating that the licenses are already in use. If this happens, and you have no way to unlicense the game from the old computer, please contact the appropriate licensing agent. They will be able to reset your licenses so that they are once again available to use on the new computer! Be aware, though, that by doing so they may deactivate the licenses from other computers, so this can't be used as a workaround to install on more than two machines!
