OOTP is an incredibly customizable game, and the performance of OOTP is highly dependent upon the league configuration you select. The size of the game world you create, the number of years you simulate, together with various system settings can make the demands on your system vary widely. The minimum and recommended specs for OOTP are listed below, but bear in mind that a system with the minimum specs will only be able to handle the simplest of game structures. Unless you have the most powerful of computers, we recommend you approach your league creation cautiously, to ensure that it will perform as desired with your hardware.

Note: An active Internet connection is preferred, as it is used to license the game, for online play, and to keep online help files up-to-date. However, it is possible to play OOTP with no Internet connection.
