Markus Heinsohn - Creator and developer of the OOTP series Dear Baseball Fan,

Markus has been busy writing his weekly blog. All are available at www.ootpbaseballmanager.com. To help you, we've summarised them below:

18th November 2005 - The New interface
You've heard that Out of the Park Baseball Manager 2006 is a complete rewrite, but what will this mean for the games interface. Lead developer Markus Heinsohn started the first of his weekly blogs with an insight into what fans of the game can expect.

25th November 2005 - Customization
Whilst OOTP 6.5 allowed you to play one league which included 3 minor league levels. OOTPBM 2006 allows you to have as many leagues, in any setup you want.

2nd December 2005 - The stats engine
The amount of stats a baseball management game tracks and realistically generates is one of the most important things for fans. OOTP 6 was the king of all sports sims in that regard. Well, forget OOTP 6, the next generation has arrived.

13th December 2005 - The game engine
The visitors dugout, bottom of the ninth, one-run lead, one man down, runners at the corners, lefty cleanup-hitter at bat. Intentional walk? Your call! The Out of the Park Baseball Manager 2006 game engine simulates a baseball game as realistic as never before, and lets you make the calls between each pitch or each at-bat. It’s in your hands!

Blogs coming soon - Scouts and Coaches / Player - Manager interaction (12/16), The financial system (12/23) and Online leagues & HTML capabilities (1/13). Check back weekly for updates.

Download OOTP5 for free
We're offering all baseball fans a chance to download OOTP 5 for free. That's right, we're giving away the 2003 version of our award-winning baseball game, which was nominated as 'Best Computer Sports Game' by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences.

Here is a perfect way for you to get a taster of things to come with OOTPBM 2006!
