Hi everyone!
As we always do, we're planning for a pretty big update in the reasonably near future. No dates yet, but it won't be within the next three weeks, and it will be before the All-Star break. How's that for specific? ![]() Obviously, our primary intent for the update is to squash any issues we are aware of, which means issues that have been submitted through our support center. It's not going to include all of the four thousand random posts in General Discussion. If you have found what you believe to be an issue, PLEASE submit a ticket. Don't assume that if you mentioned it on page 75 of the release thread that we know about it! Secondarily, our first big update is likely to include a handful of SMALL new features and tweaks. So, what new features or improvements would you like to see in an update? Fire away! Caveat: We realize that you don't really know how much work any given suggestion will be, but please try to post only features and improvements that you suspect may be reasonably small in scope. Additionally, let's please keep the trollish comments to a minimum. If you are unhappy with some aspect of the game, please see above for how to submit those issues!

I have already made this petition elsewhere on these boards, and I will quote from that discussion here.
I would like to see more detailed managerial/personnel records. I want to know the details of a coach's history when I hire him. If I am hiring a pitching coach, for example, I want to know some basic information like where he has coached before. I also want to know the pitching statistics for the teams that he has previously managed, at what levels he has coached, if his teams were winners or losers, and if he has been a part of any championship teams. I think that these sorts of details would make the personnel aspect of the game much more dynamic and engrossing. I know nothing about programming, so I wouldn't be surprised if this will have to wait. For now, however, I would be satisfied if the "managerial history" tab displayed the same set of statistics (i.e., team, record, avg, runs, era, runs allowed, position, playoffs) for coaches other than just the manager. I suspect that all that would need to be added is a column to designate the coaches position on the team (i.e., pitching coach, hitting coach, scout, etc.). Even if this doesn't happen, thank you for soliciting feedback. It's one of many things that makes this game special ![]() |

1-
Please have a better way to separate minor league stats from major league stats on the Player Stats screen. One thing I really miss from OOTP6 is the way the stats were displayed - with separate tabs for major league stats and a tab minor league stats. Could this be incorporated into OOTP11 ? I'm aware there is a drop-down to include only major league stats, by in my opinion, the way the major/minor league stats display/options are far superior in OOTP6 to OOTP11 (one of the missing charms from OOTP6). 2- On the players stats screen, if a player is traded and have stats for 2 different teams during a season, please have an option to combined the stats for the 2 teams and just have 1 line for the year instead of splitting out the stats for each team during the year. I know there is a TOT line, but my preference is to just show 1 line of stats for each year. 3 - I love the widgets in the play-by-play screen and the ability to customize the screen the way I like it. How about a new screen of widgets for the main screen - the standings screen and league leaders ? Widgets would include one for each division (standings), each league leader category, team rosters/stats/ratings (with a drop-down at the top to select different teams), calendar, games from the schedule screen, etc. The ability to customize the main screen. |

I would like to see the "Compare Player" feature expanded.
- choose any player to compare without having to shortlist them. - compare up to 3 players. - choose which stats to compare (ie. my starting SS MLB stats to my AAA prospect MiLB stats). I really like this feature and more options would make it even better. |

I am rebuilding the Padres from scratch. One thing I've found hard to do is find any prospects outside the BA Top 100 that may interest me as a trade target. Could we create subscription to a flyer that does organizational updates on a minor league system of a team? Or have a feature that scouts minor league systems and tries to find targets you may be interested in trading for?
Because I'm using the Padres after A-Gon my talent to trade for guys in the BA Top 100 is pretty thin. I thought this might be a good addition to help us scour the league for talent. Thanks in advance! Justin |

First of all, this is the greatest game ever. Just wanted to point that out.
But I would like to see pitchers develope other pitches overtime. Like learning a forkball or slider from another teammate or pitching coach. ALso, smarter trade logic. teams out of contention and are rebuilding unloading veterans for prospects and teams in contention for playoffs adding veterans for young guys. This might have been added. I've not rolled my online league yet:
In FA in an online environment with two separate leagues with no FA movement between leagues, not only am I allowed to bid on FA from the other league (its set in League setup to not allow movement), but there is no way to sort the FA screen by league. I should add that our two leagues are ML and AAA levels. Sorting by level either shows them all or none of them. This would be of great use to me in our online league. Okay: sorry if this inappropriate for what you're looking for here, but an idea just struck me.
What about news articles about a trade being able to mention a prospect's relation to his former team's top prospect list? "BA ranked Williams as the [team]'s #7 prospect -- and 2nd highest rated hitter." Would be very nice, as -- if articles are being saved -- it would help archive the real weight of the trade at the time. So-and-so is no good anymore, but he was clearly the main piece of that trade, you would be able to see. |

Record of a pitcher winning the "triple crown".
There's a news story about it when it happens, but that's it, doesn't show on the player's history, and there's no tracking of how many times it's happened historically in a league. |

I'd like to see a tab added in a player's history for when they made their major league debut. This is something that I like to add manually, just like I used to add prospect rankings manually before it was programmed to automatically add it to a player's history. Putting the debut in helps put a player's whole career in perspective, otherwise you look at the history file and don't have the slightest idea of when he actually broke into the majors because it may have been quite a long time before anything happened to him that is actually noted in the history file.
Also, in previous versions of OOTP I've run split season leagues before. Unfortunately, its pretty much impossible to get an accurate view of the standings once the second half starts because all you see are the overall standings and not the standings for the second half only. In order to enjoy playing the split season format, you have to be able to follow the playoff race. I don't know how difficult it would be to code and whether or not this could be something in an update, but it would be nice to have a view for second half standings only. How about the ability to trade between leagues?
I only suggest because this does happen in the Independent leagues in the States. |

I thought that was already implemented...at least thats why the "allow trades with other major leagues" option always seemed to be there.

Agreed! It is frustrating that I cannot just choose a team and look through their roster to find the player I would like to compare. I have also noticed that the "compare recently viewed player" is not working. I have had multiple instances in which I did go to another player (different team) and when I go back to the compare player screen that player was not listed as having been recently viewed.

Would it be possible to set it so that service time is tracked separately for separate leagues? So that if you have a "real world" setup with MLB, *** and one or more independent minor leagues, the service time a player accrues in one league doesn't carry over to another.

I would like to see a small change in the order that player accomplishments and awards are listed on the individual player screen. What I am seeing now is that the game will list out all of the various accomplishments (date specific) first and then at the very bottom (usually have to scroll to see) will show a summary of those accomplishments. I would rather see at a glance (at the top of the player awards) that Player X won the player of the week award 25 times, player of the month, 7 times, 3 time MVP, 2 time World Series Champ, etc, rather than having to look at each instance first (July 12, 2004 won player of the week; July 31, 2004 won player of the month; September 28, 2008 won something, etc...).

Ability to download ALL online league updates as a scheduled task.
For the default views on various pages in game, change the player's uniform number to the player's age.
