Update on progress on patch #2

Hey guys,

we are making good progress on patch #2, with one exception. The crashes on Macs while playing out games are because of a really complicated issues which require a complete rewrite of certain parts of the Mac code. Unfortunately, Paul (who develops the Mac libraries) is currently ill, so the issue will not be fixed in patch #2 once we release it on Friday (which is the ETA at the moment).

Once Paul is doing better and is able to resolve the Mac issue, we will release another patch, of course.

Alright, back to work.

Eesh, Mac has been a real bugger this time around.

Can't wait for the full patch, though. I'm assuming this is the one in which the team text color option is going to be re-implemented?

And the "forced small text" issue?

When you say "rewrite of parts of the Mac code" you just mean 3D right? It won't mess up my current games or anything? Since I just spent 3 days putting together a new fictional league :P

It's not an issue, it is by design.

Some good news: We have found a bug which did cause crashes and Mac (and even on some PCs) while playing out games which was not related to sound. So, this will be fixed in the patch. However, sound will still be automatically disabled when switching to 3D mode on the Mac.

That's nice. Wanted to play out my first game of my new fictional leauge yesterday and the game crashed in the 7th inning. So I hope that it was caused by that very bug you were talking about.

Hopefully the Mac FaceGen issue will be resolved soon. I'm ready to get my franchise started.

Along with the trackpad issue. Very frustrating, but I'm sure it's tough to nail down.

Will the issue of photos reverting to face gens(on their own) be addressed in this patch ???

I know you are very busy and we ALL appreciate that

But can you give us a run down of what will be fixed and what will be overwritten in the patch, when it is released?

I have Questdog's name file and Spritze's High School Database, along with an old school injury file...knowing what I have to double check after implementation would be great.
