Projected Budgets Rounding Up
I am starting a league with custom financials and there is something interesting going on I can't figure out. The league just started and it's right after the inaugural draft. I go into each team and enter the budget and projected budget. However, I noticed that the projected budget value for every team that the game reports is rounded up to the next $500K no matter what that entry value is.
But after more digging I realized that it scales. $0 --> $0 $1 --> $2 $2 --> $4 $3 --> $4 ... $6,000,000 --> $6,100,000 ... $16,000,000 --> $16,200,000 ... $31,000,000 --> $31,500,000 ... $51,000,000 --> $52,000,000 Is there any reason the game does this? My workaround for the first season will obviously be to just enter a value $1 below what it should be. However in future seasons I will never be able to enter the specific dollar values that have been calculated, they will always be rounded up to the next $200K or $500K or $1M. It's not a game-ending travesty or anything but it seems unnecessary and does actually affect what a team has earned with my custom financials. Teams that are more successful in any given year will get up to $800,000 more "free budget room" than the teams that are rebuilding. Am I missing something that is causing this? I didn't report this as a bug because I'm not sure that it's not just something I simply don't understand. Last edited by Huckleberry; 04-21-2015 at 07:39 PM. |
