OOTP 9 Patch #6, version 9.2.2 released!

Hey guys!

Important: If you downloaded and installed version 9.2.0 in the last couple of days, we highly recommend using this new patch instead!

We have just released the latest patch, version 9.2.2! This patch fixes the problems that 9.2.0 introduced, and also includes all the benefits of version 9.2.0, which are the following:

We fixed all reported bugs which we were able to duplicate and also introduce the following two features:

1) Pitchers in 7-Day Lineups - You can now assign starting pitchers in the 7-Day Lineups page, giving you full control over your team when you sim a week at a time! Online leagues, rejoice!
2) Lock player position - In the Player Strategy screen, you can now lock a player into a specific position, so that the AI will not change the player's position when setting depth charts and lineups. This feature is great if you don't worry too much about your minor leagues, but you really want to teach certain individual players certain positions!

Other improvements:
- Fine-tuned player development
- Improved AI in multiple areas
- Enhanced play-by-play and news stories
- When 'owner controls budget' is disabled, then cash is factored into money available for extensions

Please download the full setup files here, and simply install over your existing OOTP 9 installation (no need to uninstall, no matter which version was previously installed):

PC, version 9.2.2:

Although we recommend using the complete install, here are the .exe-only files for users with a slow internet connection, these need to be unzipped into the folder where your application (.exe) is.

PC .exe files:
http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp9.zip (contains the new exe, the manifest and a folder with DLLs. Put the content of the zip file into the OOTP9 program folder)

Mac application files:
http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/OOTP9.app.zip

For those who use the .exe version, please download the following file too:
http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ootp_text.zip (contains the english.xml which has to be copied into the folder /text of your OOTP 9 data folder)

No luck with 9.2.2. When I attempt to load the database, it freezes at 16% (loading names).

also working well for me, too. just beware that it takes a much longer than usual time to install and to open (first time). probably rebuilding skins, etc. Just let it run. Might think it's not responding, but everything OK in the end.

I had a lot of decompression errors when installing it, but pressing retry to all of them worked and it finally installed. Played around with it a bit since and no other issues so far.

Is it just me, but since the 9.2.0 patch, in my game, I keep getting news messages from managers declining contract offers that I never even sent. Happens over and over again. Anyone else getting these?

Who is in control of your minors? I have had happen to only to find out that I put the AI in charge of the minors.

Installed very quickly with no problems.

I ran a test league (Majors, quickstart) for one season and all went well.

since this patch, the game is great but takes a long time to open from the initial screen. Never had this problem before, I'll try opening it a few more times to see if it persists.
