BB Card Template - 1990 Hoops design

I've been playing with the BB Cards and XML editors for a few days and I am getting closer to releasing the full set that is based on the 1990 Hoops basketball set.

I have learned more about the tri-alpha color usage and hope to expand it on future card sets. I have a few more things to touch up and then will get it to PadresFan to host on his mod site.

EDIT: THANKS TO PADRESFAN FOR HOSTING - AVAILABLE HERE: LINK

Here is the base card that uses team colors for text and trim:

All-Star Card

The All-Star card maintain the silver base for the card background and uses the league's colors for trim and text. I have also shown the tri-alpha layer that I use to create the color changes.

Hof

The Hall-of-Fame has a gold background and also uses the league's logos and colors for trim and text. I experimented a little with how a tri-alpha image would show up, using the sublimated play image under the stats.

My league is not far enough along to have actual hall of famers, but this is what the card would look like.

Nice work! How does the HoF look with a close up picture?

I sent the file to PadresFan to be hosted. Hopefully he will have it added soon.

You may run into an issue with names that have accented characters. I changed the font to include those characters, but preferred the look of the original font. I am working on a solution to include the accented characters using the current font.

I am not exactly sure what you mean. It does not appear that the zoom level of the picture can be dictated through the in-game XML. If you wanted all of the photos to show less of the body and more of the face, you could edit the XML dimensions of the player picture - making it larger so more of the image is hidden behind the layers above it. This may also cause the image to be too blurry.

Because we can't control what pictures are used sometimes the zoomed picture (of just the head-ish) gets used. On some cards that have been made it actually doesn't look that good. Parts of the player's face get blocked, etc. I was just wondering how a HOF card looks with "Hall of Fame" written across the guy's face.

Nice job. I think this set must have had 100,000,000 cards produced, because even I have some.
