Conlon Baseball Cards?
Would anyone be interested in creating a set of templates similar to the Conlon cards by Megacards? The card shown below is an example...
the Conlon Baseball Card Collector: 1991 Main Set, 1st Printing - 67 cards I know the angled title bar would not be possible, but titles for allstar, hall of fame, and various awards could just sit in the top border of the card. These is a basic vanilla design, but I really don't have the XML talent to do these myself. |

I don't design cards that I do not use, and I really don't have much interest in this one, but it is a pretty simple design.
And the Hall of Fame banner could easily be used and with the angle, along with any other awards. It would just have to be in the template that way. The only time you can't use angled or vertical text is when its a non constant that the game has to generate, so a players name or team name or stats, those all have to be horizontal as of now. |

Anyone willing to give this a try? Honestly, I don't know how hard it is, but I'm not even sure where to start.

Almost finished with the default, the batting stats are pretty much done but still working on spacing the pitching stats and maybe a couple of more tweaks to the other text. Award, hof and as will be similar but with that angled banner in the top right and maybe something on the back below the stats.

Excellent! Thank you Klavier!! This simplified format is perfect for my historical leagues - real or fantasy. Two thumbs up!

Fantastic !!
Thank you Klavier for your effort. These are exactly what I was hoping for. Although I like all the various yearly designs of baseball cards, an attempt to try and change designs over time to keep the cards relevant to the time period is quite an effort. These Conlon designs will be perfect to cature players of any time period. Thank you again for your excellent work! BC |

Which is why, after an extensive search, I have chosen this set. I went the way of "try and change designs over time to keep the cards relevant to the time period" and I used the Baseball Cards Compilation. The problem is that the cards tend to look like a hodge-podge over the decades, particularly in the Hall of Fame. This Conlon set, plus perhaps the use of the default HOF cards that come with the game (they look impressive) will do the trick.
