It's mesmerizing.
The video is in a loop. I sat for a long time, watching it over and over again. It's mesmerizing.
Listen for the fan's clarion call at the beginning of the clip. It's as if he or she is announcing or calling the "play" from the stands. I looked for this on YouTube. There are several versions, but not this one. I must have this one! It's like a zen experience. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/15/s...gon-ducks.html

Apologies to Cobra Mgr, who posted the story a couple of weeks ago when this nonsense happened. I should have added to his thread but I thought to look only after I did mine.
Still, his video is not THIS video!

I blame koach k. When he whispered in his ear after the Ducks ousted the dookies, he passed on a flopping virus that infects every one who comes in contact with k's breath. Symptoms are falling backwards suddenly when one thinks a whistle might blow. Or sneakers suddenly balloning up 5-6 sizes into a dribblers path when he is going in for a lay-up.
There is at this time no cure. However, researchers @ UNC-CH are working hard to find an anitbiotic that will rid the basketball world of this hideous strand of disease. Then they will work on a similar vaccine for Euro soccer. Please give. We cannot rest until b-ballers can play without fear of opponents falling to the ground because of contact with the air or hitting the court after tripping over suddenly swelling feet.

Because that's what flopping is, cheating. Sure it's a part of the game, like stealing signs in baseball. Still cheating. Nobody looks like a complete clown stealing signs in baseball, however.

.........It is just disrespectful to the game. To pretend behavior like that is an integral part of the sport is disgusting. .........It's an insult to the refs. Nobody is harder on officials than me. They have a hard enough time calling the game correctly without players fabricating violations. Floppers are saying, in effect, "you referees are so stupid I can make you see something that obviously isn't there. I have no respect for your compentency and I am willing to embarrass all you zebras and make you look like fools." .........And it is an act of cowardice. When you flop, you are saying "I am not skilled enough to beat you fair & square. Therefore, I'm going to have to cut corners to compete with you." You aren't brave enough & confident enough to put your talents into the fray & challenge the opponent. I have no problem w/a "realistic embellishment" to make sure a ref sees an opponent violated the rules to keep you from doing your job on the field/court etc. But phony crap like this? I've got no time for it. I have absolutely no problem w/refs being able to go to the tape during a time out, like they would a flying elbow, and assessing technical fouls for such behavior. I despise it w/a passion.

The problem is, you and I get this. How did it fail to get across to this young man?
