Yes, change to a division format would not be a big deal |

No, changing it would be too off course and just keep things as history dictates |

Rewriting Cubs History - Question time
So, if you have been following along in my Cubs dynasty, it has been a trip. I have already rewritten history by winning the 1927 WS and giving them three so far. Not bad.
Looking at this from the inside, I now can understand why the Cubs struggled for so many years. The talent is just not coming in to them each year. The fact makes it very difficult to win and a lot of wheeling and dealing must be done. But that isnt the only thing that kept them down, especially in the early year. In my dynasty, the Giant are seemingly unstoppable, they have been in the WS for 10 of the last 11 years, only 1927 appearance by the Cubs broke the string, and it appears they will just keep winning. This is very frustrating and tbh, makes it hard to keep going sometimes Start out all fired up but by midseason, not so much. This leads me to the point I am posting this for. In many, most of the historical leagues I run on my own, I start the leagues out like normal and in about the same time I currently am in the Cubs dynasty, I change the league format to add divisional play. For me, the owners lost their minds waiting all those years. But here is what I am gonna do. I am gonna play out the 1929 season like I have been, but I am looking for feed back from those that follow along, would changing the league to divisional play in 1930 be too far of history to make it just another dynasty and change the premise too much? I hope to get some feedback from yall. Thanks in advance

At the end of the day, you have to do what you will enjoy more. If you are losing interest now and this will rejuvenate it, then do it now. It really doesn't matter what everyone else thinks if you lose interest and the dynasty dies.

Just thinking about spicing things up a bit. The dynasty will never die, just may slow down a bit.

Well not as definitive as I was hoping, only 7 votes kind of dsiappointing.
Gonna be another day before I can get to the 1930 season so I will give it so more time.

Hoping to get a few more votes. With taking our 4th World Series in 1929, I have already changed history in this dynasty and Im now thinking about it more and more, just for a little difference but I hope to get a little more input.

I hope it's not too late for comment, but like majesty95 stated, it's entirely your fantasy sim. We're along for the ride. I am new to the forum but personally, I would have the league stay original and just be the GM but have amateur drafting turned on. As you probably already know, there wasn't a draft in baseball until 1965, so teams like the Yankees, Giants and Dodgers had more money for scouts and bonuses. Shrewd trading and good scouting should help you against those pesky Giants provided you activated the feature. I, too, am doing the Cubs but starting in 64, the year before the draft as to keep the rules the same as the MLB but have the actual draft. Go Cubbies!
