Welcome to the Out of the Park 6 website, home of the award-winning baseball game that is the acknowledged industry standard of career-based simulations.

Out of the Park Baseball features the ultimate in realism, playability and unparalleled customization, placing you in a virtual baseball world of your own making, right on your PC. Create your own universe using players of the past (via a direct link with the Baseball Archive), present, or, for the ultimate challenge, using purely fictional players created by the AI. Build your own dynasty by signing free agents, wheeling and dealing with other owners or by calling up that hot prospect from the minors. Watch your seasoned veteran’s skills slowly deteriorate and replace him with one of your top picks from the amateur draft. A multitude of play options include solo against the computer AI, or against friends in a multiplayer league.

Out of the Park 5 was nominated for the prestigious Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences - Best Computer Sports Game 2003. This year, we’ve upped the ante by adding additional features and functionality to make the game “As Real As It Gets”.

OOTP 8 released! - Monday, December 17th, 2007

We are proud to announce our first independent release in 3 years, Out of the Park Baseball 8.0! OOTP 8 is 100% compatible with OOTP 2007, including online league play. It also adds the following new features to tide you over until next year:

a function to import history from Catobase
a milestone watch in the history section
a fully integrated Lahman 5.5 database, including data through the end of the 2007 season
a Major League quickstart game, including real player names and full minor leagues

OOTP 2007 final patch released! - Monday, October 22nd, 2007

We're pleased to announce the release of the final patch for Out of the Park Baseball 2007! This will be the final patch for OOTPB 2007, as we'll be moving into development phase for the next version of the game, OOTP 9. There's a ton of stuff in this patch, including some small new features and a fix for the dreaded "black triangles of doom" in FaceGen. OOTP 2007 receives Editors Choice Award from PC Gamer! - Thursday, May 24th, 2007

We are very proud as the current PC Gamer issue contains a review of OOTP 2007, rating the game a 92% and giving it the Editors Choice Award!

Also, metacricit.com has included OOTP 2007 in its all-time PC game rankings, and it is tied with Half Life as the best game ever with an average score of 96!
